Our Candidate for Texas Senator:
Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz

- Ted’s Key Wins for Texas
- TEXAS ENERGY: Ted spearheaded the fight for Texas and American companies to win approval of four major LNG export permits to sell American energy overseas.
- PROTECTING TEXANS: Ted’s Coastal Texas Project legislation became law. Known as the “Coastal Spine” or “Ike Dike,” his law ensures that coastal Texans are better protected from major storms.
- RECONSTRUCTING TEXAS: When Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas, Ted visited with victims and volunteers, then authored the federal law that gave tax relief to storm survivors.
- GROWING THE LONE STAR STATE: Ted passed legislation to designate the Interstate 14 extension as a high priority project - a big bipartisan win for the Permian Basin region.
- CONNECTING TEXANS: Ted led bipartisan efforts to designate the I-27 Ports-to-Plains corridor as a “Future Interstate.” This allows Texas to receive additional federal funds to complete I-27’s expansion.
- PRIORITIZING TEXAS’ SPACE SECTOR: Ted worked with now-NASA Administrator Bill Nelson on the law guaranteeing Johnson Space Center’s vital place in NASA’s human spaceflight missions.
- SPACE RACE: Ted successfully led the fight to guarantee U.S. leadership with the International Space Station through 2030.
- SCHOOL CHOICE: Ted’s Student Opportunity Amendment was included in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It expands 529 College Savings Plans to include K-12 tuition and is the most far-reaching federal school choice legislation to ever become law.
- SECURING THE SOUTHERN BORDER: Ted successfully included border security amendments in the 2022 Coast Guard Authorization Act. His amendments boost the surveillance capabilities for our southern “maritime” border, and also begin the process of potentially building a Coast Guard facility at Port Mansfield, Texas.
- FIGHTING FOR VETERANS: Ted led the fight to address long wait times for veterans, and won. Thanks to his amendment - now law - the VA had to address the long wait times that Texas veterans experienced in the South Texas Veterans Health Care System.
